Inspection of property at 607 Main

The following members of the RHC met at 6:30 PM at 607 Main Street

Meeting then transferred to Town Hall at 7:30 PM
Building Inspector explained that a supporting wall against 605 Main would be necessary 9C--?r.
before anv demolition.
A round table discussion which included owner, Jonathan Edwards, Building Inspector
over the options owner would have. Owner feels at this point that he would abandon the
building.
Someone named Eric Jones called to ask whether there was transcript of the hearing
about 607 Main. Boston Landscaping and Design Company.
89 Main Street: David reported building shows evidence of having been a saltbox.
Downtown Steering Committee: Question of whether or not to close Lowell Street.
Virg,inia passed out draft of Lowell Street letter. Gladys moved to accept letter with
revisions, David seconded; passed-3-0-0.
.Colonel Hoxie to get information on house movers involved in 1790 house in Woburn.
607 Main Street: David noted that Commission could help Phil Vaccaro, owner, by
trying to set up a free estimate on rehabilitation costs and feasibility check'by a builder
familiar with such projects; David to try to set up.
Next meeting set for August 5, 1997
