HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-04-13 Planning Board MinutesMinutes of the Meeting of April 13, 1981. Chairman Zorabedian called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM in Room 133, RMHS, 62 Oakland----with J. Shaw, K. Messina, E. Childress and B. Mitchel present. Town Meeting Issues Special Town. Meeting - Article 15 - Rezone Dooley/French property- Upon a motion duly made and seconded the Board voted to reconsider their position on Article 15 by moving the date for considering such vote from Thursday, April 16 to immediate consideration. A unani- mous vote, opened the matter for discussion. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board discussed the Article as presented at the public hearing. Mr. Kasper, Attorney for Frenchs, was recognized.and asked that the Board con er this article for indefinite postponement as they would be seeking such a motion on the floor of Town Meeting. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board unanimously voted to recommend indefinite postponement. Mr. Kasper then asked the Chairman to present such a motion to Town Meeting on :their behalf. Chairman Zorabedian accepted and will make the motionlat Town Meeting, for both Article 15 on the Special and.Article 15 on the Annual Town Meeting Warrant. Annual Town Meeting - Article 16 - Rezone Adams/Gentile land - The Chairman received a call from a neighboring resident about the pro- cedure for having this article brought up for consideration by Town Meeting. In keeping with the Board's position of unprejudiced action in this matter, the Chairman referred the citizen to the Town Clerk to 4 e~---h-3m-prow-ide the information so requested. Board Policy The Chairman discussed a policy matter for informing citizens about matters under discussion at Planning Board meetings. It was pointed out that with many controversial issues before the Board, it was best to inform. citizens by referring them to Town Hall and the legally posted open meeting law notice. Upon a motion'-duly made and seconded, the Board voted to adjourn to Town Meeting at 7:45 P.M. R----------- . BJM
