Present were William Goodrich, Michael Slezak, Bernice Herrick, Francis Doughty, Gail Wood, Marie Mueller, Anthony Guarciarello, and Gerald MacDonald. Observer Mimi Durham. Corrections to minutes of previous meeting. Correct date June 2, 1994. Item 6 of Chair's update should read "Footbridge program does not allow height of 1619" but will allow 18' 3" to 18' 6" similar to Wilmington bridge. Also voted to add Chairman's memo of June 7, 1994 to complete minutes. Corrections and additions to minutes accepted 6-0-1. Mr. Goodrich reported on preliminary report given at Selectmen's meeting. Our final report date has been extended to Mid July. Further business discussed: Are we to determine if funds are available to construct a pedestrian bridge? Mrs. Herrick has contacted former Town Engineer Bill Robertson., He stated that if we work through District #4 they could make recommendations to Boston for a pedestrian bridge. Claims funds are available from an enhancement grant of 1.6 million. Jonathan Edwards has the information on available grants. Mr. Slezak said that he has contacted a friend in the state house who has offered to help find funds. Mrs. Wood questioned Mr. Goodrich about what his status will be with our committee when his term expires on the CPDC. Mr. Goodrich is sure that something can be worked out so that he can remain on until the final report is completed. Discussion of Final Report Referring to our proposed Mineral Street Bridge. Report outline, members were assigned as follows 1. Summary - Bill Goodrich' 2. Descriptions and Valuation of Existing Bridge - Gail. Wood -3. Option A MHD Proposal - Marie Mueller and Tony Guar- ciarello 4. Option B - Pedestrian Bridge Proposal- Mike Slezak 5. Other Options - Marie Mueller & Tony G. 6. Traffic Study Evaluation - Bernice Herrick 7. Public Safety - M. Slezak 8. Real Estate Property Evaluation - F. Doughty All members to report back at next meeting on June 23, 1994, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at Town Hall. The meeting adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
