Attendees were beta MG'K1.x'1ley, Administrative Secretary; Lorna insp. Chairperson; and members Elizabeth Knox, Donna Ruth and Lee Winslow. Absentees were Ton;; Baarr'ass€, And ulhinch, Ary Gttino and Sebastian Tine. Plior to calling the meeting to order, Chairperson Lorna Kn6pp Introduced Joan Doh.ne, the new Friendly Visitor Coordinator, who e pl a of the d function of her program. She plans to initiate a p erson7to on contact between shut-ins and friendly volunteers Weekly ~ visits daily telephone calls, and the sending of greeting cards for appropriate occasions are all part of the plan to reassure the shut-in that he/she is thought of and not alone. se TDehne passed out a sheet defining the goals of the program and welcomed the ideas and participation of other groups and associations. Very few changes were made to the budget. Th o'_line figure was reduced. From $2000 a to $1650, and re-:pairs and maintenance was cut from $1,000. to 841. The total no'n:--energy figure was $5,198- There was a discussion in reference to last meetinges vote= regarding the Advisory Council. It was generally agreed that not enough time was devoted to discussion: and that the motion was passed too hurriedly. Lee made the follo=wing motion: ''I take a, notion to rescind last month's vote in reference to an Advisory Council until further djscussiona``` Donna Ruth seconded the ?motion. Chairperson Knapp announced that he will have an inforTnal meeting on February 22 for >ayone who is free to attend. This will be for the purpose of discussing I'n _ -ram plans.
