The Secretary's report was accepted with the following corrections: "The Treasurer read the report from the Town Accountant on the Council on Aging Recreation Fund checkin. account, at this point Mrs. McKinley requested that the Town Accountant meet with the CoA on iā€¢arch 16 to explain the items in the letter". #10 should read Mystic Valley Elder Dome Care will have an alternative. New evaluations were reviewed in open session as requested by Rheta and Marie. On new evaluation under "Specify areas there there is a need to improve", Rheta's was changed to "there is a need". Rheta McKinley's evaluation was chanted. Betty Knox and Mary Ottino want it duly recorded that they did not agree with the new evaluation. Motion by Arthur Polychrones, seconded by Anthony Barrasso to give Mrs. McKinley a 3o* rather than 7c increase as previously granted. Marie's evaluation changed. Motion by Ceorge Cashman, seconded by Lee iinslow to give Marie a 3`o increase rather than 415, as previously granted. Any complaints and grievances concerning CoA activities should be sent in wri ti:Lg to -CoA Board for action. This applies to. staff, Board Members and Senior Citizens. This mat with the approval of all Board Members. On a 'motion by Lee Winslow, seconded by George Cashman, this procedure will be placed in our policy book. There was considerable discussion concerning compensatory time for the van driver. A motion by C.eorge Cashman, seconded by Betty Knoxthat all compensatory time be taken within 10 working days with the approval of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman. Lotion by Anthony Barrasso, seconded by Ceorge Cashman that all overtime prior to this date (March 23) will by paid with money from the salary account by April 15, 1982. There is $113,000 in reserve fund. COA Recording Secretary's Report Page 3 NEW BUSINESS A question about insurance coverage for workers under the COA for liability and accidents for volunteers was raised. This will be researched by the Selectmen. AGREED: A year of study will be spent to determine the need for a full-time position for Secretary-Director. After much discussion about Compensatory Time, George Cashman and Mary Ottino moved to authorize the Chairman and Vice-Chairman to review all Compensatory Time with Rheta and work out a scheduled payback. It was agreed on by members. Rheta McKinley reported that the money donated to be used for the Hypothermia Project has been turned over to the Town Treasurer. Health Fair Health Day will be held at the Arthur W. Coolidge Junior High School on March 17. Congressman Markey is having a Health Workshop for the Elderly during the April Vacation a hearing clinic will be held. it was suggested that the MO from our health item be used to transport citizens to and from the health workshop. It was agreed to allow Y.A.M. Prints to be hung in the Senior Center for the month of arch. It was decided that a Log be formulated., with space proviu'ed,to show destina- tions, time-in and time-out and in-office hours. These would be turned in at the Board Meetings so as to justify all hours worked. Our new meeting; date was decided. It is to be on the second Tuesday of the month. March 9th W4'1 be our next meeting. MOTION MADE BY LEE WINSLO%4, SECONDED BY ANDY MULHINCH, that the Meals-on-Wheeels Driver's pay be raised to $3.00 per hour beginning February 1, 1982, using the Grant from the Department of Elder Affairs.
