Business
1. The minutes of the October 1998 meeting were approved.
2. There was no correspondence.
3. Sub-committee Reports.
Talent Co-ordinator - Karen Samatis and Lorraine Dennis have accepted this role jointly. Karen
has already spoken to the New England String Ensemble. Karen has been told that we would
like as much talent signed on as possible between January and March. Ace will take on the role
of liaison. With the addition of the string ensemble we now have three organizations interested.
First is the Continentals, and second is the combined ecumenical choirs.
Birch Meadow - A tentative meeting will be held Monday, November 16 with Priscilla
Richardson and Bill Endsiow. Alan will meet with Chet Bejtlich on November 5 to talk about
design. Margot Denois Kastrinos and Betty & Jack Cronin have volunteered to help with food.
Web Page - Karen reported that David Brett suggested she talk with John Marion. Karen hopes
to have a sub-committee put together by the next meeting. Some adjustments have been made to
the web site. Alan Foulds and Alan Smith will give Karen updates on the Uptown 2000 and
Birch Meadow 2000 plans.
Uptown 2000 - Ace sent letters to all former Jubileve members to see if they would be interested
in joining the Uptown 2000 sub-committee. So far she has heard from Judy Smith, who has
offered to make all the buttons with her husband Ken; Abby Croyle, who cannot take part; and
Margot Denois, who will be helping out at Birch Meadow. The K of C hall may be available as a
venue.
Financial - No report.
Written Communication - Mary was not present.
Corporation Board - Rita Robertson, the clerk met with Brenda Smith, the treasurer. Brenda has
gone to local banks to find the best deal. She feels that Massbank is the best. Ace is meeting
tonight (Nov. 4) with the Cultural Council to make a presentation on the poster contest.
Industrial Expo - Dick was not present.
