Regular Meeting
April 16, 1979
The scheduled regular meeting of

Recreation Hall at Tannerville.
The Secretary°s report was accepted as rendered.
Mr. Rennison read a letter from Mr. Ellerin of Mass. Housing and
Finance thanking us for our letter of support on the Cedar Glen
Project.
A letter of resignation from Dr. Guerra was read. It was accepted
with regret.
Mr. Rennison informed the Board that Malden Action is willing to
accept $2200. as our share toward the Ideal Program. This is pos-
sible because we are using some volunteer help at the r0eal Site
and a CETA driver to deliver the Meals on Wheels. However, Mr.
Agnew has said the CETA driver is with us in a temporary capacity.
A request to use the Van on May 6 to transport Reading; Senior Cit-
izens to New England Memorial Hospital was presented. On a motion
by John Macdonnell the driver would, be given "comp times" in lieu
of salary.
Mr. Lemaire reported the Patrons of Older Adults are in the pro-
cess of obtaining a postage permit with a non-profit status to
be used by the Council on Aging.
The Van rules were discussed--the last sentence was changed to
reads only one name per caller and one out-of-town trip per month.
Mr. Rennison talked about the Advocacy Course sponsored by Bunker
Hill Community College in Wakefield every Thursday. The course is
in preparation for the "Mini-'White House" conference to be held-on
May 23 and 24 at Bunker Hill Community College. On a motion by
Harold Wyatt= transportation will be provided on May 24th to Bun-
ker Hill Community College.
The meeting adjourned at 8:30.
