Regular Meeting
March 19, 1979
The regular scheduled meeting of the Council on Aging was held
on March 19, 1979 in the Recreation Hall at Tannerville.
The Secretary's report was accepted as rendered. There was no
Treasurer's report.
Mr. Rennison stated the Finance Committee had approved the bud-
get for $36,858.
The cost of operating the Congregate Meal Program this year is
$5500. Mr. Rennison is planning to deduct $1000. for the CETA
worker who delivers Meals on Wheels and $1200. for the volun-
teers at the Meal Site which will bring the total to $3300.
Susan Case, a nurse with Elder Foster Care Program explained
their program. They hope to place 20 clients by the end of
June in private homes for $300. per month.
Robert Carlson asked for support from the Council on Aging to
get the Cedar Glen Housing Project off the ground. The Council
will send a letter of support to Mr. John Eller of Massachusetts
Housing and Finance.
Mr. Lemaire stated the Van would be rustproofed by Lazat, Inc.
of Medford, There is a five year guarantee with this service.
Luigi Sablone, van driver is willing to drive any Senior Citi-
zen to Winchester Hospital mornings before starting on his reg-
ular daily schedule.
Mr. Lemaire reported on the reception he attended to meet Emery
Mower, the Secretary of the Department of Elder Affairs.
Meeting was adjourned at 9:15.
