Council on Aging
August 21 1978
The regular meeting of the Council on Aging was held on Monday,
August 21, 1978 at 7:30 P.M. in the Recreation Hall at Tanner-
ville.
The Secre°tary's report was accepted as rendered. Where was no
Treasurer's report.

Mr. William Hughes of the Finances was introduced. He will be
a sub-committee member representing the Finance Committee.
Mr. Lemaire explained the reason for rejecting the Van bids.
There were no 1978 Vans available at the time.
John MacDonn.ell moved to place an ad for Bid on a 1979 Van by
September 1 and to provide Zor awarding the bid by September 30th.
Second by Mary Ottino. So moved.
Mr. Demaire will continue as Vice-chairman. A vote considering
a change to Co-chaff °ian will betaken at the September meeting.
A motion by ohn MacDonn.ell, second by Frank Demaire to pay
150 per mile plus registra°tion, parking fees, etc. to Mrs.
McKinley and any designated Board members while attending any
meetings or sessions other than regular Council on Aging Board
meetings. So moved..
On a motion made by Lorna Knapp sedond by Mary O t ino it was
unanimously voted to post a "No Smoking" sign in the office. Also
a sign asking people not to use the of°f ice as a. waiting room
It was voted unanimously to approve the Class Schedule for the
coming year. However, Lorna. Knapp and Harold Wyatt will look
into the feasibility of having volunteer teachers next year.
Jeanne Dube', . seconded by John MacDonnel.l made a motion to
allows the "Fun Trips" tto continue Sep'_ r. The vote
was unanimouc ,,e i th Lorna Knapp abstain rag.
The Board ag eed to allows Mrs. McKinley to coordiante trips
with a travel agency for our Reading Senior Citizens.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at
