The Secretary's report was accepted as rendered, again there was no.Treasurer's report because the "printout" still has not been re= ceived from the Town Accountant. Mr. Jahn MacDonnell was welcomed to the Board. We now have a full complement of ten members. Mr. Rennison reported that mystic Valley Elder Home Care was sett- ing up.a program for "Limited Vision" for which Reading Counci.1 on Aging has made a grant application to defray the cost of the program when it is held here. The Post Office granted the Council permission to mail at the Non- Profit rate for a fee of $40.00 per year. Mrs. McKinley was instructed to pay the fee. Mr. Rennison attended a meeting of Eastern Middlesex Mental Health, Geriatric sub-committee. They are looking for a Day Care Center site in this area. The Commonwealth will purchase the property and the Cities & Towns will pay for the utilities. It will. be for those with'phycha- tric problems. It was reported that Arl.ington Council on Aging offered cab service for the Elderly at a cost of 25~. Harold Wyatt was ask,.ddd to look into this and report the details at the February meeting. (2) After considering the age limit for attending classes, van rides, and other services offered by the Council it was, agreed that age 62. would be recognized by the Council. It is 55 and 60 in many of the surrounding cities and towns. Mr. Lemaire reported on alternate meal sites for expanding the meals program. However, Mr. Agnew then inform- ed him no money is now available and won't be until Congress votes on it for this year. The number of meals we serve daily is in line with the surrounding.towns. Again there was discussion concerning the purchase of a new van Mr. Rennison will speak to the Patrons for Older Adults for financial assistance. It was also suggested we approach the Town. Due to the holiday next month the meeting date will be February 13. The meeting was adjourned at 9:00 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Rheta C. McKinley Secretary
