December 22, 1971 A meeting of the Council on Bing was held on 3dnesday ev ning, December 22, 1971, at 7&30 A at the lousing for the Elderly, The meeting was called to order by Mrs. Seaton., the Chairman. Those present in addition to Mrs. Beaton were Imes. Sias and Lantz, and gather Carlin. Upon notion duly made and seconded., it was unanimously: To accept for the records the Treasurer's report showing a balance o _'2b and to allow this balance to revert to the ~,o~~rx°a, thus closing the account `'ow the Year 1971. Its. Sias brought the Council up to date on her Volunteer Visitation project saying that she has eight people visiting hursing homes, who, before Christmas, brought kits to the shut-ins which, with the help of the visitors, more made into Chris=tmas decorations 'our the elderly for their own rooms or a gifts for friends, She showed a very attractive sample to the members present. Beaton reported that this y°eart Thanksgiving Dinner Put on by the Council for the elderly of Reading on November 18th had been a great success with about 160 ogle present at the Church of the Good Shepherd.
