board of the Town Ball a week in advance.

at losing dir. Gardner as C i _ _-1 and as a member, Mrs. Beaton said she would

to the Council by the Town of Reading
Mrs. Beaton pre;sen.ted her resignation as Secretary to a ni in a

Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was un.a im.ously:

men and to the Office of Services to Older Americans informing them of the above.

Mr. lrrnharx mentioned that he, W. Gtr..? W-. "`?.as, and Mrs. Beaton had,
sampled the type dinners which the State had r~nvnro&sl for a possible Hot Ionch
Program, and had felt that they wouldn't satisfy Qs s olsde people, particularly . in
the quantity of food, after some discussion, it was decided to table the matter
until the September meeting.
Mos, Beaton said that up to $2,000 could be granted by the State upon re-
qyn by letter, s Ur purposes for which the money was desired, but that this
c-.' be granted on 7y un e and never repeated, It was decided that ~ letter should

Mrs m Beaton reported that she had conferred with Mr. Donald tr gig, o-

made computerized mailing list for the Council and that mailing stickers could

Its.. Beaton announced that she had very :recently been informed that
the ouncil on .giwng, being a governmenta : bodyi could not be granted a Non-
Profit Organization mailing permit, allowing single pieces of mail at 1.70

EAtters postnured for the newt meeting were funding for the year 1972
and the possibility of o ctedu ng movies, such as were presented last winter.

and Mrs. Beaton adjourned the meeting at 1002 P.M
