SCHOOL BUILDING COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
OCTOBER. 20, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Roger Sanstad at 7:10 PM.
Those in attendance were: M. Cowell, R. D'Antona, D. Farnham, R. Graham,
R. Grasso, P. O'Leary and R. Sanstad.
Discussion opened on the current membership of the committee as carried
in the records of the Town Clerk. In order to rectify the situation, a
motion was made and carried to recommend to the Moderator that R.
D'Antona be appointed as the School Committee Representative and R.
Graham be appointed as the Town Meeting Representative.
Action: R. Sanstad to contact the Moderator with the recommendations.
A motion was made and carried to appoint Margaret Cowell, Joseph Lupi,
Paula O'Leary and David Swyter as Associate Members.
In view of the current committee make-up, a.,motion was made and carried
to = contact John Carpenter about becoming an Associate Member. In
view of the fact that a recommendation is yet to come from Killam PTO, it
was felt that the Committee size -wasnow sufficient to perform our task.
When known appointments are completed, we will consist of 6 regular and
5 associate members.
A motion was made and carried to formally request Town Meeting, via
Russ Graham, to permanently expand our committee, making the 5
Associate Members a permanent position as Citizens-at-Large.
Don Farnham briefed the group on his conversation with Jim Anderson of
the SBAB. It is our intention to invite Mr. Anderson to one of our meetings
in the near future.
Significant discussion took place regarding our objective as a Committee
of Town Meeting. It was felt by a majority that we have not clearly
defined our objective and most likely will not be prepared to request any
