Those in attendance were: M. Cowell, D. Farnham, R. Graham, J. Lupi, P. O'Leary and R. Sanstad. Discussion continued on our objectives and the appropriate methods by which we should proceed. Consensus was reached that the initial priority of our group was to develop a Long Range Plan (10 Years) which would consider expansions, renovations and planned repairs of the real properties of the School Department. This would be accomplished utilizing all available information, e.g., the latest school population projections prepared by Dan Ensminger, the current Capital Plan, known planned major repairs and any other information available. This plan would have to be closely coordinated with the FinCom sub-committee currently looking at town physical plants, the School Committee and the Superintendents' office. To this end, representatives of the three functions will be invited to attend our next meeting for a briefing of our intentions. It was strongly felt by the group that to approach our task without the benefit of a well thought out long range plan, any conclusions reached would not be in the best interests of the town and/or the taxpayers. ACTIONS: - R. Sanstad, to invite above mentioned representatives to our next meeting. - D. Farnham to obtain Capital Plan. - R. Graham to draft a Mission Statement. - J. Lupi to begin task of a Long Range Plan outline. - R. Sanstad to contact D. Ensminger to review status of his effort. Our next meeting will be at 7:00 PM on November 10, 1992. The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 PM.
