Committee members in attendance were: D. Farnham, R. Graham, R. Grasso, P. O'Leary, R. Sanstad, L. Selzer, D. Williams. Also in attendance were Architect D. Finney, R. Radville and K. Vaccaro, a reporter from the Chronicle. All action items from the previous meeting were reviewed and found to be completed or on plan. Birch Meadow construction has started and is on schedule. J. Lupi is attending weekly meetings with the GC, the architect and the Clerk of the Works and will keep the committee appraised of progress at each of our meetings. R. Sanstad reported the results of a meeting with Dr. Munnelly and D. - Finney regarding the Joshua Eaton roof. Dr.. Munnelly has taken the action to obtain funding for the repair of the tile portion of the roof and, if it (the funding) is available by the time we go out for bids on the Eaton project, we will try to include it as a reimbursable item in the project. It was estimated that the repair costs would be approximately $170K. D. Finney presented two additional options for the Parker project. This brought our total options under review to nine. Considerable. discussion followed regarding the various proposals and the pro's and con's of each. A motion was then made to identify Options 5 & 6 as the two with the most favorable conditions regarding both cost and meeting the educational requirements. The vote was 7-0 in favor of Options 5 & 6 as the final choices with which we will continue to work. The SBC is on the School Committee agenda for December 6, 1993 to present a progress report. At that presentation, we will review the two options and the rationale for their selection. It will also provide an opportunity for School Committee members to voice their comments and concerns. ' Discussion then centered on the problems which are anticipated in funding the Parker project. It was agreed that preliminary discussions should take place with the Town Manager and Treasurer and brief them on the projected project cost. R. Graham will arrange this meeting for the week of November 29, subject to availability of all parties. The meeting was adjourned at 9:45 PM. NOTE: The next meeting of the School Building Committee will be at 7:30 PM on Tuesday, December 7, 1993 at Town Hall.
