The committee met with the Board of Selectmen at app. 7
P.M., at the Police Station. We toured the outside and inside of
the police station. Short- comings and environmental problems were
identified. Most obvious was the lack of space and safety
violations that existed. We then adjoined to the Senior Citizen
Center to discuss and develop an agenda for the committee to
follow. After much discussion it was decided that the committee be
allowed to view and prioritize a list of private and public sites
available for building.
Of special importance, Chairman Silva made all those in
attendance aware that the land targeted for acquisition ( located
next to the police station) may not be available for at least two
years.
