Police Station Building Committee
Minutes
April 17, 1996
Present: Bob Silva, Wilbar Hoxie, J. Cormier, Paul Peoples,
William Lavoie, Chief Marchand, David Shurman, Mike
Debreaugard.
Absent: Stephen Blewitt, Karol McLaughlin, Lauretta Raffi, Bruce
MacDonald.
The Police Building Committee met at the Senior Center
on this date at 07:00 p.m. A brief discussion on the meeting the
committee had with the selectmen was discussed by Lt. Silva. Lt
Silva spoke of information found out by Ms. Raffi in regards to the
purchasing of the Real' Estate Office and the condo. property
abutting the Union St. lot, it appears they are willing to sell.
Lt. Silva will contact the architect Max Ferro to request
the formal design for the police station as per the agreement with
the Town for Ferro to supply one.
Dave Schurman is attempting to draft a letter as to what
the Police Building Comm. has done to date.
Lt. Silva informed the committee that the Town Manager was
drafting a letter to the owners of the properties on Pleasant St.
and Parker St. as to their willingness to sell or not. Lt. Silva
is going to contact the Town Managers' secretary to see if contacts
have been madewith the property owners.
