A meeting of the Water & Sewer Advisory Committee was held at 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at the Police Community Room, Reading Police Station, 15 Union Street&**g, *)NA 2b In attendance were Chairman Gail Wood, Committee members Gerald MacDonald, Robert Salter, and Richard Moore, and Town Engineer Joseph E. Delaney. Comprehensive Permit -1375 Main Street The committee reviewed a memorandum prepared by Joe Delaney regarding 1375 Main Street and the Aquifer Protection District in general. The committee discussed the various concerns with the proposed project and made the following motions: It was moved by Gerald MacDonald, seconded by Robert Salter and approved by a vote of 4-0 to recommend that the Zoning Board of Appeals support the Aquifer Protection By-Law by limiting the amount of impervious area on the 1375 Main Street project to 20 percent. It was moved by Richard Moore, seconded by Gerald MacDonald and approved by a vote of 4-0 to recommend that the Zoning Board of Appeals not allow the use of paving stones on the 1375 Main Street project for the reasons outlined in the Town Engineer's Memorandum of February 15, 2001. Gail Wood agreed to draft a letter outlining the above votes and the reasons for supporting the Aquifer Protection By-Law for presentation to the Zoning Board of Appeals on March 15, 2001.
