Water/Sewer Rate Study Richard Moore indicated that the presentation to the Board of Selectmen would in fact also be a presentation to the general public. One of the messages to the Selectmen and the general public is that many of the recommendations by Russell Consulting would add complexity and confusion to the residents bills, and the Committee did not see a benefit to the Town. It should also be noted in the presentation that Mr. Russell's study was based on a cost of service analysis. The Committee reviewed the information to be included in the overhead slide presentation. It was decided to group similar issues together. Richard Moore will develop the last two slides of the presentation which will incorporate comments on the cost of service study recommendations by Russell Consulting and a summary and closing comments on the overall study. The consensus opinion of the Committee. Ted will incorporate all revisions and additions discussed to the presentation package and forward it to the Committee prior to the Board of Selectmen meeting on January 29, 2002. Securi The Department continues to receive information from professional water works organizations regarding recommended actions to take. These recommendations are reviewed by staff and incorporated as necessary. Bob Salter indicated that there is a cement manhole cover adjacent to the town forest well that the Department should consider securing. It was moved by Bob Salter, seconded by Steve Oston and approved by a vote of 4-0 to adjourn the meeting at 9:50PM. Minutes - WSAC January 16, 2002. doc Page 1 of I
