Also Present: Anne Krieg, Town Planner; Joe Delaney, Town Engineer
Site Visit commenced approximately at 9:10 AM. Weather was clear and
warm.
Curbing proposed in plans has a corner curb as the cut for private driveways.
Residents in attendance expressed concern a transition curb was not used.
Residents in attendance raised question of roadway width as wider than
approved.
Property owner requested repair of driveway apron at 50 Walnut Street.
Question of grading and erosion issues were raised in the curbing installed
along the frontage for 5 6 and 70 Walnut Street.
Question of necessity and erosion issues were raised for the curbing installed
along the frontage for 5 5 Walnut Street. Property owner was in agreement
with installation.
Questions of necessity and aesthetic quality were raised for the curbing
installed along the frontage for 71 Walnut Street. Curbing was installed to
provide for flat grass walk area as indicated in previous hearings.
Town Engineer and Town Planner explained the existing grading was
inconsistent. Grading practice dictates maintaining consistent grades in the
design of roadways.
General concerns were raised in the installation of the retaining wall between
the intersection__of South Street, and_Pine- Ridge Road
Request by landowner at 133 Walnut Street to have granite curb at
catchbasin.

Request by landowner at 13 9 Walnut Street for re-grading of right of way to
meet existing grade into private property.
Site Visit completed at limit of work line at South Street entrance at
approximately 11:00 AM.
Respectively submitted to the CPDC by the Town Planner, Anne Krieg on
June 28, 1999.
