CPDC MINUTES
Meeting Dated July 26, 1999
Members Present Jonathan Barnes, Chairman (JB), Neil Sullivan, Secretary (NS);
Dick Howard (Rl- )
Also Present Joseph Delaney, Town Engineer (JD); Anne Krieg Town Planner
(AK)
The Chair called the meeting to order at 7:50 PM.
JB announced the Commissions intention to continue the hearing for the
proposed Danvers Savings Bank to the audience.
DANVERS SAVINGS BANK
Neil Sullivan read the legal advertisement into the record.
Minor discussion ensued on downtown parking issues.
RH moved to continue the hearing to August 9,1999 at 8:00 PM. NS seconded.
All in favor.
The Commission requested for staff to notify the Downtown Steering Committee
of the next meeting.
STAFF BRIEFING
AK discussed the following items with the Commission:
❑ Decision for Walnut Street Scenic Way Modifications and process
o George Street project currently before the Selectmen
❑ Blight designation for the old Police Station
❑ Getty Gas re-development
o Cory Lane construction schedule
❑ Harold Avenue construction completion
❑ Mansionization in zoning

❑ Site Plan Review changes to zoning
❑ Parking changes to zoning
❑ Master Plan/Open Space and Recreation Plan process and schedule
The following requests were made from staff:
✓ Notify the Selectmen of the Commission's endorsement of designating the
Pleasant Street Police Station property as a blighted area as defined under
Mass General Law.
✓ Keep the CPDC informed on the progress of George Street
RH updated the Commission on the progress of the Water Supply Committee.
Motion to adjourn at 9.30PM, made by RH, seconded by NS. All in favor.
These minutes were prepared by Anne Krieg, Town Planner, and submitted to
the CPDC on January 6, 2000, 1999
Minutes were approved by the CPDC on January 10, 2000.
