HomeMy WebLinkAbout1996-07-15 Community Planning and Development Commission MinutesTOWN OF READING COMMUNITY PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION MINUTES OF JULY 15, 1996 A meeting of the Community Planning and Development Commission of the Town of Reading was held in the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street in Reading, Massachusetts on July 15, 1996. In attendance were Bryan Irwin, Chair; and Members Jonathan Barnes, Susan DeMatteo, and Michael Flammia. Also present were Town Planner Jonathan Edwards, Town Engineer. Joseph Delaney, and Town Counsel Ted Cohen. The meeting was called to order at 7:39PM. PUBLIC HEARING - ZONING WARRANT ARTICLES - ADULT USE Mr. Irwin called the meeting to order. Mr. Barnes read the Public Hearing notice. Mr. Edwards read each section, and also read CPDC and public comment on each section. Sally Hoyt presented suggestions, Ted Cohen responded that concerns are already included. The Commission voted 4:0 to approve a motion by Mr. Flammia, seconded by Mr. Barnes, to close the public hearing. The Commission voted 4:0 to approve a motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Ms. DeMatteo, to accept the Article language in Article 1 as redrafted, as the language of the motion to be presented to Town Meeting and that CPDC recommends Article 1, as so amended, to Town Meeting. The Commission voted 4:0 to approve a motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Ms. DeMatteo, to accept the Article language in Article 5 as drafted, as the language of the motion to be presented to Town Meeting and that CPDC recommends Article 5 to Town Meeting. The Commission voted 4:0 to approve a motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Ms. DeMatteo, to accept the Article language in Article 2 as drafted, as the language of the motion to be presented to Town Meeting and that CPDC recommends Article 2 to Town Meeting. The Commission voted 4:0 to approve a motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Ms. DeMatteo, to accept the Article language in Article 3 as drafted, as the language of the motion to be presented to Town Meeting and that CPDC recommends Article 3 to Town Meeting. The Commission voted 4:0 to approve a motion by Mr. Barnes, seconded by Ms. DeMatteo, to accept the Article language in Article 4 as drafted, as the language of the motion to be presented to Town Meeting and that CPDC recommends Article 4 to Town Meeting.
