prepared to be leaders. Each should recruit his/her own photographer and
recorder.

IV. First Step Tours
• Tours will leave the depot between 12 and 2, in staggered lots, as people
arrive and groups are formed.
• There will be "short" and "long" tours if necessary, depending on turn out
and participants' time constraints. (Short tours would stop at alternating
locations according to the map that is part of the information packet.)
• Leaders will be wearing hats that will identify them as such. It was
suggested that baseball hats with the Downtown Turnaround logo be made-
up, but due to time and dollar constraints, painters hats were agreed to be a
viable option.
• Photographers on the walk, should bring their own 35mm slide film.
• Mr. Hoxie volunteered to take slides for the Committee's future use on a day
other than The First Step.
• Billy will contact a friend who produces channel 56 news, to see if they may
cover the event
• Jean Christensen will come with camcorder, for back--up videotaping.
V. Surveys
• Peter Simms and Jonathan shared general comments from surveys that they
have read. Overall, they tended to reiterate both positive and negative
issues that have already been noted. (+)'s included the sign by-law and the
work done at the depot area. 0 's included parking and traffic.
