Minutes of October 19, 1987
Meeting convened at 7:35 p.m. in Room 16, Town Hall, Reading, MA
PRESENT: H. Hulse, Chaifnan; W. Cochrane, Vice Chairman; M.C.Proctor;
C. Anthony; W. Childress; W. Redford, Town Engineer., serving
as Administrator in Beth's absence.
MINUTES 'A motion made and seconded to approve Minutes of 10/13/87
VOTED 4-0-1
BILLS were approved and signed.
CORRESPONDENCE was read and discussed.
EMA Realty - 155 John St. requested an extension to 10/8/88 under
Art. 131-40. They will present us with a plan in the spring about
planting banks with wildflowers instead of crushed stone.
After discussion, motion~ade and seconded to grant an extension to
EMA Realty to 10/8/88. VOTED 5-0-0
7:45 p.m. PUBLIC HEARING - Rivers Development Corp. - Sanborn Lane
Phase IV. for construction of a roadway at end of Lilah Lane.
A suggestion was made to confknue Hearing until plans are received from
CPDC to see if there are any significant changes but Mr. Rivers did not
wish to continue Hearing.
8:45 p.m. A`short recess was declared so Mr. Dewsnap could confer with
Mr. Rivers.
8:50 p.m. Hearing; reconvened.
After much discussion and many questions, a motion was made and
seconded that ',Heating be closed. BOTED 5-0-0
A decision will be issued within 21 days.
9:20 p.m. CORRESPONDENCE continued. A letter was received from Rivers
Development Corp. requesting copies of all Minutes on Public Hearings
from 4/13/87 to 9/14/87 and copies ofall future Hearings. They will
reimburse Commission for these.
Letter received from Boy Scout who had been working on Bird Sanctuary
project saying it was completed and that he had earned Life Scout rank
and thanking the Commission for the opportunity to earn this badge.
Mr. Skinner wants to start Avalon Rd. and in reviewing Order of
Conditions issued to Cormier, it appears Commission wants detention area
finished before project starts.
9:40 p.m. Motion made and seconded to adjourn. VOTED 5-0-0
