Next, Steps after December 2007
• WF discussed his map and assessment of the trail between Mill and Main
Streets. Some bog bridging will be required and steps or a switchback ramp will
be needed to access the Main Street sidewalk.
• Marion Woods from parking area to Lobs Pound may need an assessment as
river winds south - the upland trail may be the preferred route.
• DW and MR walked trail from water treatment plant to new and old boardwalk to
quantify extent of boardwalk.
• Canoe launch within the Town Forest may not be practical because of the
distance needed to carry a canoe from the parking area. Because the treatment
plant is no longer in use, vegetation is encroaching the trail and portions may
need to be surfaced. May consider limited vehicle access to the canoe launch
area.
• FD raised the issue that increased traffic to the area in addition to the compost
area's traffic will be of concern to the neaighborhood.
• John Feudo had mentioned to DW that an RFP for on operator of the log cabin
will be going out shortly. With a commercial enterprise at the log cabin additional
parking may be needed.
• "H" trail near Lynn Village Way needs to be performed. "F trail boardwalk has a
cross-slop but was dry.
• Someone had cleared the trail recently along the river within the Town Forest.
• Treatment Plant trails are in good condition with only minimal improvements
needed for ADA access.
• BB to assess ADA requirements at log cabin to Bare Meadow. DW to assess
trail "H2" and "HY
