1. The total applications for abatement.for FY1993,--tim-e-ly filed, is
110. To date, there are, approximately 10$ that have been reviewed
and/or signed by the Board; which represents approximately 94%.
The total amount abated to date is $23,522.98. Applications that
are still pending a final decision, 7 total, are as follows:
The Massbank For Savings : Application #88, #89, #90, & #91.
MacDonald's : Application #93
Humpty Dumpty Day Care : Application #94
419 Grove Street : Application #55
These 7 applications actually represent 4 property owners.
2. A letter dated 04/07/93 was sent to Peter Heckenbleikner relative
to the amount of overlay that was voted on as surplus at the 04/06/93
meeting. The voted amounts totalled $115.000,-this comprised a release
of FY1991 overlay of $90,000 and a $25.000 release of FY1992.
3. There have been a total of 488 exemption applications filed for
FY1993. The total exempted is $135,359.25. The deadline for filing
lapsed on 03/18/93. Another mailing was sent as a reminder to file
to some 50 FY199Z-exemption recipients on 04/06/93. The number of
deferrals filed is 26, totaling $52.353.22. Mailers were sent to
2 of the FY1992 tax deferring taxpayers.
4. The FY1993 Overlay Account is $377,663.54. To date, the sum total
of the exemptions and abatements>is $158,881.23.(as an estimate)
This leaves an effective overlay balance of $218,782.31.(estimate)
The free cash account, which is charged for the Deferrals, is to
date effectively charged with $52,353.22.

7. A sample of documentation for the May 11th A.T.B. hearings has been
draftred for the Board to review. Since last meeting, Brian Cuffe,
Attorney for The Keatings, have withdrawn their, case. This leaves
four cases to be heard the 11th.
