Tax bills were mailed out as scheduled, 12/17/93. Applications for, abatement are due to be received by this office no later that January 18th, 199'4 at 5:00 PM. Exemptions are due by•5.00 PM on March 17th, 1994. 2. The addendums to the application for abatement have all bee;i updated. As of 5:00 PM, there were no filings for FY1994. At, the next Board meeting, we can review the applications that have been received. 3. I attended the meeting of the MWRA that was in billerica on the 13th relative. to the incorporation of the debt service for tf~~ water and sewer into the tax rate. The Selectman are pot_entiall going to ask the Finance Department to present what was discussed. The date that this is to be raised at the Selectman's meeting has not bee-en set. but.w:ill.probably also "include info that has been gathered relative to the residential exemption. As soon as a date is firmed up I will inform you. A. The vacancy of Assistant Appraiser has attracted 66 applications; ready for".the Board's review. 'The Appraisal Institute has a news-- letter that is issued in March. If we still have a vacancy then, we can use their publication. The Mass Board of Real Estate Appraisers has never returned out, calls even though we have left messages on their machine. I will. attempt again until we or(:,., finally successful. 5. As you recall, the rY199.3 and FY199A value placed on the property is $529,200. The vacant lot used as parkin :i.s .valued at $181,800.. y 7.
