In attendance were Chairman Stephen Crook, Secretary John Wood, Committee members Richard Moore and Steve Oston, associate member Gail Wood, Assistant Town Manager/Finance Director Bob LeLacheur, Guest David Tuttle, and DPW Director Ted McIntire. Water Supply Options Bob LeLacheur provided two handouts to the Committee outlining long term water costs based on the following three options: Water Treatment Plant/No MWRA; Water Treatment Plant/Partial MWRA; and No Water Treatment Plant/Full MWRA. Bob indicated that the numbers used in the handouts are based on forecasts from the MWRA and Town of Reading staff, and are subject to change. John Wood and Gail Wood joined the meeting at 7:38PM. It was noted that there are many issues in siting a water treatment plant such as neighborhood issues, open land, compost, and construction waste storage. Bob LeLacheur left the meeting at 8:20PM. It was noted that the numbers are soft on cost projections for the MWRA. The Committee decided to formulate their thoughts to forward to the Board of Selectmen. John Wood-presented a draft memo for the Board of Selectmen to the Committee. Richard Moore prepared a list of'issues that are important to him as an individual as well as to the Town. The Committee worked on finalizing John's draft letter and it was moved by Richard Moore, seconded by Steve Oston and approved by a vote of 4-0 to send the letter to the Board of Selectmen and that it be signed by the WSSWMAC Chairman. The Committee requested that a meeting be posted for November 29, 2005 at 6:45PM so that the Committee can meet prior to the Selectmen's meeting that evening. It was moved by Steve Oston, seconded Richard Moore and approved by a vote 4-0 to adjourn to the Board of Selectmen meeting at 11:08PM.
