Meeting Minutes - July 10, 2000
Members Present: Bob Brown, Susan Giacalone, Joan Hoyt, Anne Mark, Ted McIntire

1. Minutes from June meeting approved 4-0
2. All nominated Anne Mark for position of Chairperson. Joan seconded and voted.
Motion to close and approved by vote of 4-0. Committee to appoint Vice-
Chairperson. Move seconded and voted 4-0 to accept nominations for Vice-
Chairperson. One nomination for Bob and Joan seconded motion. Voted 4-0 to
close nomination. Approved Bob as Vice Chairperson 4-0.
3. Discussed the search for new members to recruit. None at this time.
4. Update on Reading's Hidden Treasures. Corrections made by Anne and will go
to Mike now. Expect booklet to be mailed to Committee members for final
approval. Ted will add information on Lexington's Household Hazardous Waste
collection.
5. PAYT - Selling stickers to community seems easier than selling a bag. Board of
Selectmen liaison to be appointed to this committee Tuesday evening. This
person will be invited to our next meeting. Liaison to Fin Corn may be invited.
Town Manager possible for next meeting also. Anne will draw up letters to them.
For September 13 meeting, we hope to have Sharon Kishida (MRIP Coordinator)
and representatives from several communities that are involved with this program.
We would like five to six most relevant towns to come to September meeting.
6. Bob suggested meetings be held on other evenings. We will continue on
Wednesday evenings.
7. Ted's report: MRIP - meeting in Lynnfield July 18. Update on MRIP for year
four and Grant Info session 9:30 -12:30. Additional Compost Center hours very
popular.
8. Bob saw article in The Boston Globe, June 23.
9. September 23 is next Textile collection.
Move to adjourn - Bob seconded by Joan. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
