Chairperson Robinson called the open session meeting to order at 8:04 a.m.

1. FY08 Budget Update
Superintendent Schettini reviewed the rationale and procedure for the end of year close-
out. Ms. DeLai reviewed the end of year budget numbers and transfers required between
cost centers to balance the FY08 budget.
Ms. Janowski asked how Circuit Breaker funds can be used. Ms. DeLai clarified how
these funds must be used.
Mr. Caruso moved to transfer within the FY08 Budget $415,000 from the Regular
Day cost center to the Special Education cost center. Mr. Michaud seconded. The
motion carries 4-0.
Mr. Caruso moved to transfer within the FY08 Budget $60,000 from the Regular
Day cost center to the Administration cost center. Mrs. Janowski seconded. The
motion carries 4-0.
Mr. Caruso moved to transfer within the FY08 Budget $4,000 from the Regular Day
cost center to the School Facilities cost center. Mrs. Janowski seconded. The motion
carries 4-0.

D. New Business
1. Bids and Donations
Mr. Caruso moved to accept the John Conway Scholarship on behalf of Marv DeLai
to be used to support professional development as outlined in the Superintendent's
memorandum dated July 23, 2008. Seconded by Mr. Michaud Motion carries 4-0
Mr. Caruso moved to accept the ROD ITouch from ESPED as outlined in the
Superintendent's memorandum dated July 23, 2008 Seconded by Mr. Michaud
Motion carries 4-0.
III. Adjournment
The committee voted on a motion by Mr. Michaud, seconded by Mr. Caruso, to adjourn
Motion carries 4-0.
