Call to Order Chairperson Robinson called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. He welcomed the guests that attended the meeting. He also reviewed the agenda. II. Recommended Procedure A. Public Input (I) Carl Anderson from 74 Whittier Road in Reading commented on the high school night events and the noise level created by those events. He requested that it be addressed as a future agenda item. i. Chairperson Robinson and Superintendent Schettini distributed a document that identifies a revised set of guidelines for start times and noise levels for athletic events on the football field. • Jack Downing, 91 Whittier Road, asked that the school department work with Reading Recreation to address the issues. • Chai Bhat, Tennyson Circle, gave some feedback on the new guidelines and commented if anything could be done with the rescheduling of band practice on weekends and the noise level after football games. • Scott Morello, 84 Whittier Road, represented a group of parents who are concerned about the noise level both on evenings and on weekends at the football field. • Mary Jo Everbright and Jolene Donahue requested that the LLD program get moved from the Parker Middle School to the Coolidge Middle School. They have sent an email to committee members i. Chairperson Robinson indicated that they received the email and that the request is being reviewed. October 20, 2008 E. Routine Matters 1. Bills and Payroll (A) 2. Approval of Minutes The committee voted on a motion by Mr. Caruso, seconded by Mrs. Gibbs, to approve the open session minutes of October 6, 2008 as amended. Motion carries 6-0-0. 3. Bids and Donations Superintendent Schettini discussed a donation from the Joshua Eaton Clock Tower Preservation Committee. Mrs. Webb read a statement complimenting the work of Joe Huggins and Mary DeLai. The committee voted on a motion by Mr. Caruso, seconded by Mr. Michaud, to to accept a donation from the Joshua Eaton Clock Tower Preservation Committee in the amount of $13,422.63. 4. Calendar F. Information Webb as tee voted on a motion Caruso, seconded by Mrs. Janowski to appoint Elaine 'C conference on November 8th. Motion carries 6-0. III. Adjournment The committee voted on a motion by Mr. Caruso, seconded by Mrs. Gibbs, to adjourn. Motion carries 6-0-0. IV. Future Business Meeting adjourned at 9:27 p.m. Patrick A.
