Place: RMLD Cafeteria zoal KkR 20 P 5; 01 Attendees: RMLD Board Secretary, Ellen Kearns RMLD Commissioner Mary Ellen O'Neill Community Relations Manager Priscilla Gottwald Customer Service Manager Laurie Cavagnaro New committee member Mary Ellen O'Neill met with Ellen Kearns and Priscilla Gottwald to get acquainted with and discuss past, current and future public relations projects. 2006 Completed Projects: 1. MEAM video project-Public Power: Neighbor Helping Neighbor a. Filming, "casting," producing and editing video b. Hosting cast party at RMLD on June 29, 2006 c. Distributing video to four cable TV companies for broadcast 2. Customer Survey for residential customers a. Arranging and overseeing project completed by the Center for Research and Public Policy 2006-2007 Ongoing Projects: 1. Complete line of brochures a. Cover folder (to insert various brochures) b. Welcome brochure c. Payment options brochure d. Direct payment option with attached application e. Credit payment option with attached application f. Residential rate brochure g. Residential time-of-use brochure h. How to read your bill i. Conservation tips -how to save energy j. Customer assistance program k. Appliance rebates with attached application Ellen suggested brochure lifestyle theme include diverse groups of the general population. 2. GREEN CHOICE marketing campaign a. Kick-off target date is September 1 b. In Brief article (printed on green, recycled paper) c. Press Release d. Brochure design and text e. Posters, magnetic signs for RMLD fleet and drop boxes, small posters and frames for town halls, libraries, senior center 2006-2007 Upcoming Projects: 1. John Tierney Municipal Energy Form, August 16, 2006 a. Joe Bilicki to sit on panel to discuss utility programs and incentive for municipal customers. 2. T-shirt Contest - theme will be conservation a. Order materials now b. Distribute materials in September c. Winners announces in November d. Awards and reception in January 3. Historical Calendar 4. Halloween Party 5. Annual Report Mary Ellen would like to see printed materials on recycled paper using soy-based ink. Priscilla said that we will use these materials whenever practical. The RMLD newsletter will show the recycled paper logo on the back side, lower right-hand corner and indicate the percentage of post-consumer content by weight, as will other publications such as the Annual Report. Mary Ellen would like to see links to green sites appear on the RMLD website. Priscilla will talk to Systems Support Tech Jeff Morris about this. Mary Ellen would like to explore the possibility of holding televised quarterly meetings on RCTV for RMLD personnel to discuss seasonal changes in the energy industry and other topics specific to the electric industry.
