RMLD Board of Commissioners
Date June 8, 2004
Time: 7:20 p.m.
Place: Cafeteria
Attendees: Messrs. Cameron, Fournier, Kazanjian, Ensminger, Soli, Hughes
Mr. Soli started by saying a job description for the Accounting Manager's position was needed. Mr. Soli also said
that Mr. Kazanjian had declined being a candidate for the position at the last Subcommittee meeting and that Mr.
Fournier was a candidate.
Mr. Cameron asked what would happen if the Board decided to replace Mr. Fournier as Accounting Manager and
Mr. Cameron wanted to keep Mr. Fournier as Business Manager? If the Board forced Mr. Cameron to replace Mr.
Fournier in both positions and Mr. Cameron refused? Mr. Ensminger responded the likelihood of an incident that
drastic would be most unlikely.
Recommendation was made that Mr. Fournier would be the Board appointed Accounting Manager. The
appointment will be made annually similar to the Town Accountant.
Discussion ensued as to what the job description for the Accounting Manager should include. Quarterly meetings
with a subcommittee on Cash, Pension Trust, Capital Budget and Operating Budgets and Fournier's ability to bring
issues to the Board when warranted. Mr. Fournier reminded the Board that Chapter 164 gives the General Manager
full authority to run the Department and him alone.
Meeting adjourned at 7:35 P.M.
