HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-03-04 RMLD Accounting Manager Subcommittee MinutesMinutes of Accounting Manager Subcommittee Meeting RMLD Board of Commissioners Date March 4, 2005 Time: 8:00 a.m. Place: General Manager's Conference Room Attendees: Mr. Soli and Ms. Kearns Messrs. Cameron and Fournier Ms. Antonio Meeting started at 8:09 a.m. ~f Mr. Soli opened the meeting with the question on whether the job description should have reference to Board of Commissioners, Policy #19. Ms. Antonio suggested that language can be added in Job Summary and we can add after Mass General Laws the phrase, following all RMLD Board policies. Mr. Soli made some other housekeeping changes. Mr. Soli also asked what the date of last reviewed meant on the job description. Ms. Antonio replied that today's date will replace the original date of the first draft. Ms. Kearns suggested a housekeeping change to make sentence in the opening paragraph read better. Motion by Commissioner Kearns Accept the revised job description as drafted by the department and presented to the Accounting Manager Subcommittee on March 4, 2005. Seconded by Mr. Soli Vote 2:0 Motion by Commissioner Kearns Nominate Bob Fournier to the position of Accounting Manager/Business Manager effective 3/4/05. Seconded by Mr. Soli Vote 2:0. Mr. Fournier asked the Commissioners what does the Board want him to do more than what he does already? Ms. Kearns stated her experience about budgets is not strong and if he could point out any changes to make her aware of. Ms. Kearns stated you do it already. Ms. Kearns is amazed at the prices of transformers. Ms. Kearns stated she needs to keep a better handle on construction budget because it affects her thoughts on returning money to ratepayers. Mr. Cameron stated that they will be getting the 6 year plan this week. On the financials page 3A, 11A and 12 have updates with back up. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 a.m.
