would be required for a quorum. At the SOS's request, James will provide them with copies of the
survey.

bulletin.

decide how or if they will assist with the distribution of the survey.

Resident's will be required to print the survey and bring or mail it to one of the drop-box locations.
• James will talk to the editor at the Chronicle about printing the survey.
• Paula is still waiting to hear from the Atlantic about their willingness to distribute the surveys.
• Paula will deliver hand-made drop-boxes and surveys to the Housing Authority, Library, Senior
Center, and RMLD
• Carol will deliver surveys to the Food bank.
Dawn will deliver a drop-box and surveys to the Clerks' Desk
• Dawn will ask The Elder Service Van Driver to check the boxes for fullness mid-month.
7. Paula provided an update about Community Parish. Nursing
• Sandy Trainor, the Executive Director of CPN, has announced her retirement for July 2006.
• CPN has changed their focus from Nurse Advocacy and "Neighbor Helping Neighbor"
(Volunteerism) to solely "Neighbor Helping Neighbor." A mailing to this effect has been sent to
several "stake-holders" in the community. Sandy is currently collecting signatures in support of
the "Neighbor Helping Neighbor" program with the intention of requesting $50,000 at Spring Town
Meeting. A cash-match of State funds is available.
• We need to be aware that CPN's change in focus may effect how residents perceive the Nurse
Advocacy survey. Residents may see Nurse Advocacy and "Neighbor Helping Neighbor" as two
potentially parallel programs or as two potentially opposing programs. Either interpretation could
influence the survey responses.
8. Paula would like to talk about the possibility of partnering with another agency to provide nurse
advocacy services and requested that the topic be on the next meeting's agenda.
9. James made a motion to adjourn at 7:00pm. Patty 2nd
