Present: James Bonazoli, Lyn White, Carol Patterson, Patty Chinetti, Dawn Folopoulos (Staff), Paula Kopple (Observer). 2. James called the meeting to order at 6:15pm. 3. Acceptance of the Jan. 25, 2005 minutes. Motion by James, 2"d by Anne Marie. 4. We will not be ready to provide a report at Spring Town Meeting about our findings. However, we will provide an update to the BOS before our committee expires on May 1, 2006. 5. Discussion about possible reasons if there is a low response rate to the survey. Seniors are reluctant to admit they need assistance. -There may be some confusion that the survey is related to Community Parish Nursing's shift in mission. 6. Discussion about how to tally the survey results so the data can be viewed in various combinations of variables. 7. The surveys received to date were divided among the members who have access to a computer and data entry methods were established. & Before the next meeting the drop boxes will be collected as follows: Carol - Library, Paula- RMLD, Lyn - Housing Authority, Dawn - Clerk's office and Senior Center. 9. Dawn will submit noticed to the local newspapers as a reminder to readers about the survey deadline. 10. We plan to compare the response rate of this survey to other surveys that have been.conducted in Reading. 11. Discussed the possibility of putting the question of nurse advocacy on the ballot for the April or November elections. 12. Discussion of our next steps as a task force. Based on the results of the survey... Is Nurse Advocacy (NA) something the Town wants and needs? If so, what models of (NA) should be considered? If out sourcing is decided upon, which organization/agencies should be considered? What would the cost be? Write a business model. Explore funding options Consider if the (NA) position sustainable. 13. We will not be ready to provide a report at Spring Town Meeting about our findings.
