1. Called to order 7:45.
2. Welcome new members: Sharlene and Jerry.
3. Minutes approved as amended.
4. Treasurers report: Final fiscal bills. $2.93 left in the general fund.
5. Correspondence: Programs from SPNEA, National trust. Copy about the Hose
House by the Northern residents Assoc. 1932.
6. New humidifier installed in the archives.
7. Marion Woods (land adjacent to Lob's Pond Mill) is being sold to the town by
the developer. Some 18th century metal artifacts were found in the area.
8. The owner of the Foster-Emerson house received their occupancy permit
without the commission's review. The commission still reserves the right to visit the
house every three years.
9. 379 Haverhill St. CPDC has concluded its review and the subdivision has
been approved. The commission was instrumental in adjusting the placement of the
sewer and the width of the road. Town planner will be there during the initial
construction phase.
10. Walnut St. scenic road designation. The town was using conventional granite
curbing and aggravating the homeowners. A hearing on July 1, the town agreed to
remove all the curbing except at certain areas. Virginia asked if the commission felt
that contemporary stone walls were acceptable on scenic roads. The commission felt
that a scenic road would benefit from stone walls of any age. There will be another
hearing on this issue on July 14. We need information on alternative curbing.
11. Election of officers: Clay Jones for Chairman

Roberta Sullivan for Treasurer
Moved, seconded and approved: 5-0-0.
12. July 27 is scheduled to unveil the ,1854 map of Reading.
