Wilbar Hoxie Roberta Sullivan Jerry Kaper Paul Fontes, owner of 25 Auburn St. Nancy Mathison, abutter of 25 Auburn St. 1. Roberta read the public notice about the demolition delay. 2. Remarks by the owner, Paul Fontes. Mr. Fontes is presently trying to sell the property. The intention of the potential buyer is not to demolish. Mr. Fontes does not intend to build on the property. Selling the house is Mr. Fontes preference. Commission members received a plot plan from Mr. Fontes. Mr. Fontes feels it is financially prohibitive to add an expanded 2nd floor. Mr. Fontes strongly expressed his opinion that the house in question is not historical. Clay read Virginia's comments (attached). If the house does not sell in six months, Mr. Fontes says the house will come down. He wants to sell it for $190,000. Nancy Mathison's concerns were safety issues due to the condition of the house and that it has been vacant for so long. 3. Roberta made a motion to close the hearing. Approved 4-0-0 4. Adjourn for 5 minutes at 8:30. 5. Called to Order the regular meeting at 8:32. 6. Discussion about 25 Auburn St. 7. A motion was made to designate the house at 25 Auburn St. by Roberta and seconded by Clay preferably preserved. Approved: 4-0-0. 8. Adjourned 8:55. Accepted as amended 6/14/2000
