Called to order: 7:50 2. Minutes approved. 3. Addison-Wesley: a letter was received form the town manager of appreciation. Clay told us about possible plans for the traffic patterns for Jacob Way. Some of the plans show South Street and Jacobs Way joining before or at Main St. The town is supporting Plan B which would make South street exit into Jacob Way leaving a small parcel of land which is road now, but will be open land. Virginia supports the idea of leaving some kind of foot print of the original road. Stone walls perhaps? Marker or sign? No left turn from Jacob at onto South St.? The width of south St. should remain the same without sidewalks. There will be a CPDC meeting on Aug. 8. Clay recommended that we approach the meeting with our interest in naturalizing the extra land. 4. 25 Auburn St.: Virginia and Clay to the ZBA. Barrett had not gotten all the necessary permits. Clay let the board know that the company has not been abiding by our by law. The delay does not run out until November. Clay intends to write an article for the paper about this property and the growing incidence of putting new houses on small lots and tearing down small older homes to build new larger homes. 5. At Wood End has arrived! Errata sheet was not included. Sharlene has made a list of the real estate agencies. A letter needs to go out to every agent in town concerning the availability of the new edition of the book. There already have been articles in the town papers. Perhaps the Chronicle could feature an article with picture showing that the books are for sale. Louise will contact town clerk's office about an ad on cable. 6. The town manager wants an awning over the front door of town hall. 7. We received a request form an individual who wanted to donate a book on history or preservation to the public library. 8. Virginia and Roberta bought a damaged map case at Charette. Virginia made a motion for reimbursement of $50. Approved. 9. Marion Woods: The conservation administrator wants our input on the way the property is developed. 10. George Hines wants to meet with the selectmen about how the Commission decides to put property on the Inventory. 11. Approved money to Redstone Camera. Treasurer's report enclosed.
