The commission has been level funded again at $1224_ T reasurer's report enclosed. et. Most rrieis ber attended the Board of Selectmen's meeting. The commission agreed to survey the commercial properties in town and select those that should be on the inventory and to set up a procedure to let residents know that their property is on the inventory. The Colonel suggested that we all take a section of the town and each research it. Virginia suggested that we apply for a, grant- Roberta will get a list of commercial properties for the next meeting. Criteria? Age, architecture, Reading history- 4. Tim Biller will come to the next meeting with his progress on the web site. 5- Election: Roberta made a motion that the officers remain the same. 540-01 6. 25 Auburn St.: Anne Krieg, the town planner, has been trying to find out if the commission has recourse to action when applicants who do not meet with our conditions. Dave Barrett has requested to have the property released from the delay on Sept. 19. Merry suggested 'that the real estate market would allow for the property to be sold to someone who would preserve the house. The commission is still waiting for word from town counsel about applicants compliance with It-he bylaw- Clay suggested that we wait to get our legal advice and then meet for a vote on Dave Barren's proposal. 7. Awning over the entrance to town hall: The commission has prepared a letter to Peter H. expressing our opinion that the projected awning would be inappropriate and negatively affect the appearance f the building. 6. At `Food Piid: The commission has an inventory of tl_e boxes of books- Sharlene has drafted a letter to realtors about giving the books to their customers. g Marion Woods- Virginia brought catalogs describing potential signage. 10. New Town Librarian, Kim Lynn: Virginia, Clay and Louise met with the new librarian and discussed the local history room and other issues- 11. Virginia and Clay were interviewed by the Advocate. 12- Clay emailed to support Vaccarro in his request for a HUD orae et- 13. Sept. 25 CPDC meeting is planned to deal with the attempt to make South St. a scenic way. 14. Sally Hoyt as liaison did contact us before our recent meeting with the Board of Selectmen- 15.
