5. 1375 Main St.: Virginia, Clay, and Roberta attended a ZBA meeting on May 17
asking for an agreement with the developer on saving the house. ZBA agreed to await an
agreement before it decides at its next meeting on June 14th.
Since the last meeting with Mr. Scippa, a meeting had been expected, but did not occur.
The meeting tonight is to hear the developer's plan. The commission would still like to
save the whole house. The developer's plan requires the building of 12 units for financial
reasons. Mr. Scippa contends that the driveway grade would be too steep if the entire
house remains. Mr.. Scippa would only use the front part of the old house and demolish
the rear portion. Virginia suggested covenants like no dormers and the color of the house
(white). Mr. Scippa feels that covenants would be fine. Mr. Scippa is adamant that the
present plans are his final plans and he will not change. Virginia: If we give up the back.
extension we want the front facade to keep the original fenestration, replace doors with long
windows, recreate an open porch, paint color, not shutters, no dormers, existing stairway
and bannister, and window moldings She asked for design review. The covenants can
be put into the master deed. Denise will be preparing the deed. Virginia suggested
another meeting before the ZBA meeting on the 14th. Monday night the 11th was
suggested for our next meeting.
6. Addison-Wesley photos: Dave Donato has taken 4x5 positives that can be
