The Board of Selectmen reappointed Clay Jones and Louise Sandberg and associate members Mark Cardono, Judith Mitchell, and Sharlene Santo. A new member was appointed as associate member, Sally List. 1375 Main Street: ZBA has tentatively approved the comprehensive permit which would mean the destruction of the dwelling. The developer, Rocco Scippa, has offered the commission $20,000 to aid in moving the house. The commission is considering appealing the decision to remove the house because the ZBA disregarded its own statement that it would wait for an agreement between the RHC and the developer and honor that agreement. However, the ZBA disregarded the agreement between RHC and the developer. Anne Krieg said that she and. Peter H. discussed the possibility of moving the building c ultimately to be used for affordable housing. The appeal would be made to the Superior Court. Clay suggested that we look at the ZBA minutes for May 17 (did ZBA refer to the plans approved by RHC); meet with the water and sewer board; enumerate the reasons why the RHC is considering appealing the ZBA ruling on 1375 Main Street. Clay further suggested that we consider appealing the ruling while also pursuing the option of moving the house at the same time. The commission will have a meeting at 9:00 AM on Friday, July 13 to review the minutes of the ZBA meeting of May 17 and decide whether to appeal.
