Minutes of March 5 approved as amended.
Clay did not attend the Preservation Restoration meeting.
Bob Biggio, the new owner, is here to explain his plans for the Edgerly & Bessom
Funeral Home, 743-745 Main St. Exterior will get new windows (vinyl), power
washing, vinyl siding on the back exterior wall, and landscaping. A small patio with a
railing will go on the top of the garage. There will be 5 units.
The house is a craftsman style house built in 1915 as a funeral home. The property is
on the National Register. Clapboards would be preferable to the stucco that is there
now. Wood windows are preferable to vinyl. The commission can supply the names
of window restorers for the owner.
Virginia and Clay suggested that we write conditions on the deed for each condo. The
owner agreed to this suggestion.
Louise suggested a walk through. Mr. Biggio will contact us with a date.
Clay received a letter from Town Manager asking us to give input on Anne Krieg's
employee evaluation,
159 Wakefield St. The six month delay expires on the 19th of the month. The
commission would like to document the house before it comes down.
