Meeting called to order at 7:30 pm in the Town Hall Conference Room Commission Members in attendance included: Virginia Adams Wilbur Hoxie Roberta Sullivan Karen Herrick Sharlene Reynolds Santo, acting Secretary Clayton Jones Others in Attendance: Jim Lordan • Treasurers Report There have been no new expenditures. Roberta moved to purchase a memory stick with 521 mb - 1 g for pictures and presentations. The motion was to spend less than $50.00. Sharlene seconded the motion. Vote 4-0. The fiscal year ends on June 30th. Group discussed using some of the funds for Dendrochronology, but we could not do just one house we should do several structures to learn about them. Properties considered were 420 Franklin, Parker Tavern, 572 Haverhill St. Clay will check for a local person who could do this and learn of the costs to report back to the commission. • Jim Lordan of 26 Fairchild Dr. a local builder that works on one project at a time is about to finish a project on Criterion St. His current project is a cottage torn down and replaced by a home that fits the foundation and neighborhood. To do this project he had to work with Fran Fink regarding some wetlands issues. He heard about 420 Franklin St. and was wondering about the property. He has seen only the outside and would like to see it saved. He understands that restrictions may be requested. Virginia said that she would call Shirley Day to let her know and ask if she'd be willing to be contacted by Jim, then let Jim know. • 420 Franklin commission is not sure if it is still on the market. Group spoke about publicity article to help market the property. • Karen Herrick mentioned a house at corner of Pearl and Franklin that is new to the market. The house is a converted barn on the property and could be viewed at an open house this weekend. • Town Meeting - Although Amendment 24 was not taken up at the meeting on the 4th it will discussed and voted on next Monday the Sth. • Friends & Family Day - June 17th 10 am - 2 pm. Linda Tuttle will be organizing volunteers to be at a table and try to sell At Wood End books. • 30-32 Elliott St - nothing new on this property. • Pierce Organ Factory Development - Roberta to check on the status of this project • Adjourned at 9:00 pm. • Next scheduled meeting June 6tb. t
