Roberta motioned to accept the minutes as presented. Virginia seconded. 4-0 • Sharp mentioned 2 recent inquiries. The first was regarding an Ebenezer Herrick and the second about the Edgerley & Bessom Property; where a current resident wanted a copy of the inventory sheet. He stopped by the Town Hall to pick it up. • Ralph Vinciguerra came to speak to the group about the old building at the high school and was looking for others interested in gathering some artifacts before the building is demolished. He had already made contact with Pat Schetinni; the superintendent of schools; who suggested that he get in touch with us. Ralph left a copy of the email he sent to Mr. Schetinni. He was thinking of gathering some signs, a locker door, wall tile, clock, auditorium chair and other signage. The group wondered if there was a corner stone or a time capsule. • Prope Tax Worker Program We have allocated up to $750 from the Special Revenue Fund to pay Elena Dube; her hours will be completed soon and we will have expended that allocated money. At this time we need to draw up a contract with Elena and take the fund from the General Revenue fund to continue this project, independent from the Property Tax Program. • Massachusetts Historic Commission (MHQ Grant Application - Susan Paterson has contacted Peter Hechenbleikner regarding a current grant to learn that the process can be complicated and time consuming. He suggested that we start preparing now for next years Grants. Peter mentioned that there are fewer funds are available for matching funds and that maybe the RHC could use their Special Revenue Fund. • Community Preservation Act (CPA) In an email dated 12/11/2006 Peter Hechenbleikner has asked us for our input on uses for these funds. Virginia indicated that we could ask to use fund for improving the inventory. There is a need to inquiry as to how much that would cost. To do this we would need to define what should/could be added and whether we wish to include commercial properties. Virginia also suggested hiring a consultant to review archival needs for space, public access, acquisition of properties for Town Preservation. Kathy will respond to Peter. • Pierce Organ Property - Handout dated 12/18/2006 from DRT meeting showed some changes made for fire access. Ownership of this property has not yet changed.
