SRS 2n a. 3-0-1 Amend & file SRS for 1/6 Meeting Minutes RS moved to accept as amended. KG 2" .3-0-1 Amend & file SRS for 1/13 Treasurers KG moved to transfer funds from Special Revenue Donation account Report to return funds to The Historic Preservation Trust in the amount of Complete RS approximately $843.00 which includes $250 donation from Latham & warrant to Latham and the difference between the grant and the actual cost of move funds the pavers. SRS 2nd 4-0 Grant for Pavers KG received letter from the Reading Cultural Council notifying the RHC that our application was approved by them for $1,000 funding for the pavers. The RCC awaits word from the State as to availability of funds. They will hear in February and advise. Annual Report RS, KH made suggestions that will be incorporated in the 2008 report. Submit report KG by 2/27/09 Smart Growth Group discussed recent CPDC meeting where a CPDC member 40R asked if the town wanted to "inspire development or allow for it." Next meeting March 9. Energy Savings The Town has hired an audit firm to develop an energy plan for all Compose KG ,Performance Town bldgs. RHC has not yet been involved in the process, but plan and submit Contracting may impact windows and RHC should be prepared to make letter (ESPC) recommendations. RS suggested RHC send letter to Mary DeLai, the Selectmen and the School Committee letting them know what buildings are historic and that the RHC should be part of the process. Archives Recent inquiries about Willis Drug and a second re: the Piper Family Inquiries from 1840-1860 KG sent email to staff member re: inquiry procedure. Library Photo On Wed Feb 25 at 7pm, RPL is having a program to share recently Collection digitized images of their photo collection. RS was instrumental in compiling these photos in the 1980's. RPL House Tour Six homes located on Woburn and Summer Streets are on the May - May 3"i 1-5 pm Tour. KG is working with the Friends of the Library (FOL) to develop Work with KG the brochure and solicited ideas as to what other RHC information FOL on could be included in the pamphlet. Ideas included text & explanations brochure of the downtown markers, a list of Nat'l Registry properties and an ad for At Wood End. KG also discussed the suggestion from Walkable Reading that the tour encourage parking at the depot and Parker M.S. FOL also noted that RHC may sell At Wood End at the houses on the tour. Parker Tavern will open that day, and brochure space will be devoted to that event. Survey & RHC received letter from MHC with invitation to submit full application Contact PH Planning Grant for 2009 Survey grant funds. KG presented the grant packet to the requesting KG RHC, which agreed that it should be completed by town staff with RHC staff assistance. The application is due in March. assistance.
