Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, and 16 Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts by Chairman James J. Nugent. Members Nancy Carlson, and Colleen Henessey - Seferian were present. Staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator was also present. The minutes of the June 24, 1999 meeting were accepted as read 2:0:0. Minutes of August 12, 1999 were accepted as read 2:0:0. New Business • The Board responded to a request by the Assistant Town Manager to keep the Hazardous Waste Committee members as an ad hoc committee. • Hazardous Waste Committee members are Foy Johnson and Kevin Hayes. The Health Administrator will communicate with the members to review Teradyne Proposal at the No Reading Aquifer site. The Health Administrator will attend the No. Reading Selectmen's Meeting 9/9/99 regarding the flammable combustible permit issuance. Vote 3:0:0. Plan Review • YMCA pool plan reviewed to date pools to open Thursday, Sept. 16. • Review of Coolidge cafeteria plans. Discussion of circulation of air and mechanical plans of kitchen preparation area. Square footage remains unchanged circulation of air 4500 cu.ft / minute. School opened on Monday Sept. 7, 1999. Cafeteria will not be completed until Early October. Hand. Sink and grease trap installed. • Danvers Bank on Main Street • Java Brewin' - 150 Main Street ready to open by September 7. • Question fast food restaurant - Wendy's at Harrow side parking lot - BOH issues will be dumpster, food prep equip, kitchen plan, Question arose concerning inspectional time with all new businesses. Administrator will continue to bring time and effectiveness issues forward to Town Manager. Other • Update on senior center roof - cracked tiles removed Town waiting for grant to replace roof. Although monies are available for an asphalt tile roof not a slate roof. Historical commission requests a slate roof. • Discussion on Housing issue at 496 Main Street. Illegal apartment. Health following normal procedures until tenant leaves premises. Magistrate session on August 31 did not resolve issues with BOH and Landlord. Criminal warrant issues for unpaid fine of $1295. • New Board Members given registration information regarding Massachusetts; Association of Health Boards training sessions.
