Minutes
April 8,2004
The meeting was called to order at 6:05 P.M. Reading Town Hall, Berger Room, 16
Lowell Street, Reading, Massachusetts, Chairman, Colleen Seferian. Member present
Barbara Meade, staff liaison Jane Fiore, Health Services Administrator.
The minutes of the March 11, 2004 tabled.
Next order of business:
• Bio-terrorism coalition update. Lap tops purchased and cell phones 2 for each
community with universal plan paid for 3 year term. The group continues to meet
regarding training and use of funds.
• The well regulation reviewed to be voted on at the May 13, 2004 Board of Health
meeting.
• Meeting with the Reading Memorial High School PTO donated$100 to Menormine
clinic costs as well as $250 donated by principal's discretionary fund. The students
Will be charged $50 this year as opposed to the $75 fee of last year for the
immunization.
• Well regulation discussed. Section 8.2.4 will be changed and brought to the board for
vote at the May 13, 2004 meeting for ffirther discussion and vote.
• Discussion regarding dumpster permit issued after application accepted. The
temporary permits will be discarded after 6 months. This will assist in tracking fees
and dumpsters. Vote 2:0:0
Administrative Report:
• Update on Medicare reimbursement as of May 13, 2004 $5,7414 received
• Certificate of Excellence for Food Establishments reviewed for suggested
correction and signatures will review again at May 8 meeting to discuss Board
signing certificate or not signing certificate.
• Cholesterol screening clinics for the general public have gone smoothly. 10
persons per clinic. At a charge of$10 each booked through the month of June.

Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Barbara Meade at 7:15pm seconded by
Colleen Seferian and voted 3:0:0.
