Finance Committee Appointment Committee

The meeting convened at 6:37 p.m. at the Senior Center, Arts and Crafts Room, 49 Pleasant
Street, Reading, Massachusetts. Present were Town Moderator and Chairman Alan Foulds,
Selectman Chairman George Hines, Finance Committee Chairman Carol Grimm, candidates
Mary Grimmer, Catherine Martin, Randy Mason, Karen Epstein, Town Manager Peter
Hechenbleikner, Finance Director Beth Klepeis, Town Accountant Richard Foley, residents Tom
Ryan and Bill Brown.
The Finance Committee interviewed Mary Grimmer and Catherine Martin, who are candidates
for reappointment, Karen Epstein and Randy Mason.
On motion by Grimm seconded by Hines, the following names were placed into nomination for
three positions on the Finance Committee with terms expiring June 30, 2004: Mary Grimmer,
Catherine Martin, Karen Epstein and Randy Mason. Mary Grimmer and Catherine Martin each
received three votes, Randy Mason received two votes, and all three were appointed to positions
on the Finance Committee beginning July 1, 2001.
On motion by Grimm seconded by Hines, the Finance Committee Appointment Committee
adjourned their meeting of June 25, 2001 at 7:10 p.m. by a vote of 3-0-0.
