Agenda Review • Gil Rodriguez will attend the DHCD Analyzing Your Parking Needs workshop on 5/2 in place of Jack Russell. Sheila Clarke will update Emmy Haan with contact information and Pete Hechenbleikner will forward parking regulation map and a synopsis of how it evolved. • Peter Hechenbleikner has scheduled Adam Baacke, Deputy Director of Community Development - Lowell to walk through downtown and review existing businesses with EDC committee on 4/20 - time TBD. • The EDC will have time on the Town Meeting agenda to report its progress. • The CPDC and BOS vote to recommend Article 25 Warrant Article was defeated unanimously. • Addison Wesley - National Development will contact a 40R Development consultant which they have worked with in the past. • Sheila Clarke to re-schedule meeting with Emmy Haan to 5/9. EDC will have the DHCE Parking Workshop, CDF Program Grant availability, and explanation of the DHCD as a whole on the agenda. • Peter Hechenbleikner will get an updated rendering of the Downtown Revitalization Project to EDC - grant funding $6.1 million. Town also received a $50,000 grant toward 40R efforts in downtown. Local Business Update 1. Pete Hechenbleikner met with Jamie Lynch regarding Woburn St. property. Anticipated start date is Spring/Summer 07 to start renovations resulting in a restaurant and two floors of office space. 2. Sophia Brina is going out of business. Peter will contact to schedule an exit interview with EDC. 3. Christopher's restaurant is in need of space for approximately 90 seats 4. Savory Tastes restaurant owner,Steve Bell, possibly looking to expand to a second location. Peter to schedule to meet with EDC to discuss opportunities. • BOS endorsed Parking Structure - Ben Tafoya and Pete Hechenbleikner meet with Reading Co-Op Bank on 4/9 to discuss working with the community to fund a feasibility study. • Business Section of Town Website - the EDC member will contact the following participants: o Russell Graham -Mr. Tambom an Mr. Burbank o Leslie McGonagle - Julie ouc , o-Op Bank o Jack Russell - RCTV -f6ior I ao o Sheila Clarke - Mark Dickerson `,etinL Schedule Next regularly scheduled meeting will be Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at Reading Town Hall, 16 Lowell Street, Arnold Berger Room, Reading, Massachusetts beginning at 7:30 P.M.
